Put simply, without financial support I’m someone who would not be able to go to university.’ Aws, Birzeit University

Palestinian students are now considering whether they will be able to go to university in September. They belong to the fourth generation of Palestinians to grow up under occupation or in exile. For many, the heavy toll of blockade in Gaza and de-development in the West Bank means that a university education is now unaffordable.

Fobzu provides scholarships and campaigns for Palestinian rights

With your support, we provide scholarships to students at universities across occupied Palestine and foster the hope that comes from pursuing education. Last year we supported 19 students in the West Bank and Gaza and this academic year we want to help even more.

Fobzu also works to raise awareness in the UK about the experience of Palestinian students and education under occupation and in exile. In addition to running our scholarship programme, in the last few months we have briefed MPs, spoken in the House of Commons, held public events at the Institute of Education, and addressed community organisations.
