Since 1978, Fobzu has worked to support Palestinian education by raising awareness in the UK about the challenges, struggles and inspiration of Palestinian students and educators.
From its early years onwards, Fobzu press releases, bulletins and regular newsletters informed people in the UK about the latest education news from occupied Palestine. Fobzu today has a website and an active social media presence on Facebook and Twitter, in addition to an e-newsletter ‘Access Online’, which keeps people updated on the experience of Palestinian students and teachers.
On its 40th anniversary, Fobzu is renewing its online presence to create a hub of information and activity on support for Palestinian education in the UK. The new website will provide an user-friendly platform with useful written and audio-visual resources for those wanting to learn about Palestinian educational life. The accessible features will help ensure the story of education under occupation and in exile reaches the widest audience and is delivered in a way that reflects the spirit of innovation and creativity reflective of Palestinian students and teachers themselves.
