Fobzu is calling for donations in response to the impact of coronavirus on Palestine. We need your help to step up the support for Palestinian students and academics at this critical time.

The number of cases of coronavirus in Palestine continues to rise. Since the ‘state of emergency’ declared on 5 March all universities and schools have been closed. Palestinians, who are already in the grip of a financial crisis from decades of occupation and US policies, face further economic disaster. Palestinians in Gaza, living under a crippling illegal siege, fear the worst.

Responding to the closure of schools and universities today, Palestinians are undertaking creative initiatives online and offline to keep learning alive. But the impact of the pandemic will hit Palestinian access to higher education hard, threatening university funding and making courses even more unaffordable for Palestinian families.
