The Palestine Youth Orchestra (PYO) will be touring the UK between 25 July and 1 August 2016. Over its twelve year history, the PYO has provided hundreds of Palestinian young musicians with the opportunity to perform high-quality music and at incredible venues around the world, including Italy, France, Greece, Germany, Lebanon, Syria, Bahrain, Jordan, Oman and, indeed, Palestine. It has brought together Palestinians from all over the world, who probably would have never met otherwise to play music and celebrate Palestinian culture. Now it's the UK's turn.
The PYO has provided tens of thousands of people from around the world with the opportunity to hear beautiful music from what has often been described as a hopeless place, coming out of the instruments of incredibly talented young musicians who have a simple message: "we Palestinians teach life".
