Nakba: Then and Now

Fobzu's Director, Aimee Shalan, will be chairing the plenary session of NAKBA: THEN AND NOW - a Day-School Conference featuring Palestinian speakers at London’s Mander Hall on Saturday 14 May.

Prof Nur Masalha, acclaimed academic/historian and author
Salma Karmi-Ayyoub, co-chair of Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights
Awad Abdelfattah, General Secretary of the Palestinian National Democratic Assembly (Balad Party in Israel)
Ahmed Masoud award-winning writer and director from Gaza
Akram Salhab, activist from East Jerusalem

Other speakers include Philippa Harvey Ex-President NUT, Hugh Lanning Chair PSC, Kiri Tunks Action for Palestinian Children and Amena Saleem Fair News Project/PSC.

The day will feature a series of workshops on Education, BDS, the Media and Refugees, led by a series of specialists in each field.
